On March 29th, 2026, 82MAJOR brought their ‘Be the Light’ tour to London, transforming Earth Hall into a high-intensity showcase of power and raw talent. Known for their strong hip-hop and rap-driven sound, as well as their involvement in self-producing their music, 82MAJOR delivered a performance that fully highlighted their individuality and artistry.

From the very beginning the energy inside the venue was undeniable. Opening with “heroes” and “passport”, the group jumped straight into high-impact performances, establishing their presence within seconds, immediately setting a powerful tone for the night. Their focus on heavy beats and confident delivery created an atmosphere that felt intense, immersive, and full of momentum.

Throughout the show, what stood out to me most was their exceptional performance ability and strong rap line. Each member brought a distinct presence to the stage, with their skills showing through both group stages and individual moments. Fan favourite tracks like “suspicious” stood out with their dynamic performance style, while tracks such as “illegal” highlighted smooth, controlled choreography that balanced perfectly with the group’s harder sound.

The set list also showed moments of contrast with songs like “say more” introducing a more laid back, early 2000’s hip-hop influence. These moments felt effortless as they offered a brief shift in tone while still maintaining the group’s identity. However, the energy quickly surged during performances of “trophy” and “takeover” where the crowd’s response reached another level. The audience remained fully engaged as they sang along with loud fan chants creating a real sense of connection between the group and their fans.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came from member Yechan, who surprised the audience with a DJ set, blending remixes of songs like “Trophy”. This segment not only added a fresh layer to the show but also highlighted his versatility as a performer. Yechan brought a playful energy to the stage, referencing British drill music during ment segments, which drew enthusiastic reactions from the London crowd and emphasised the group’s excitement to be performing in the city.

The group’s interactions with the audience added an extra layer to the experience. Members consistently checked on the crowd, ensuring everyone was safe and comfortable, whilst also taking the time to joke with fans and respond to their energy. The night also featured a special moment as fans celebrated Seongil’s birthday with the members surprising him on stage with a Colin the Caterpillar cake, a playful and distinctly British touch that made the moment even more memorable.

The overall production leaned into a darker, minimal visual style, allowing the performances themselves to take the spotlight. Combined with the intimate setting of the venue, this created an atmosphere that felt both intense and personal. Rather than relying on dramatic visuals, 82MAJOR focused on delivering high-impact stages driven by performance, energy and connection.

As the show concluded, it was evident that 82MAJOR had made a lasting impression. Their skill in balancing powerful performances with genuine fan interaction made the night both thrilling and authentic. With a clear musical identity, strong stage presence, and passion for performing, 82MAJOR proved they are a group to watch, leaving London with a performance that was as impactful as it was unforgettable.
