Maximalist Fury on ‘METAL FORTH (Deluxe)’
The undisputed queens of kawaii metal are back once again to push the boundaries of heavy music to even further plains. METAL FORTH (Deluxe) was released 26 June 2026 and it is a 15-track deluxe version of METAL FORTH, which was released 8 August 2025. This is more of a celebration for the Japanese trio, who are under Capitol Records and Warner Records. The members Su-metal, Moametal, and Momometal have released a definitive edition of their groundbreaking fifth project, pushing headfirst into a concept that they described as “beyond HEAVY METAL”.
Reimagination of METAL FORTH
In order to understand the significance of METAL FORTH (Deluxe), we have to re-experience the impact that METAL FORTH had. This 10-track long play (LP) was historical for the band as this was their first album, since Momoko Okazaki officially joined as Momometal, that placed them as the first-ever-all-Japanese act to make it on the top-ten placement on the US Billboard 200. The important difference between this release and the deluxe edition is in the expanded narrative and collaborations. The physical release has visually evolved with a beautiful limited-edition zoetrope vinyl that brings the iconography of the album to life.
3 Essential Standout Tracks
“from me to u” (feat Poppy) [Jordan Fish Remix]
The most exciting collaboration on the deluxe version was the reimagining of this track by former Bring Me The Horizon producer Jordan Fish. The original collaboration with alternative pop-metal icon Poppy is already an amazing track, but the Jordan Fish remix adds an electronic-heavy progressive framework that somehow makes the song even better. The remix has more dark and glitchy synthesiser soundscapes and polished vocal chops that interplay with the original track’s eerie and metallic playfulness.
“My Queen” (feat Spiritbox) [Live from Intuit Dome]
This is where the deluxe edition sets itself apart with life performances. This performance from Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome is breathtaking. BABYMETAL works alongside Canadian metalcore giants Spiritbox and the live performance amplifies the emotional impact of the track. Su-metal’s live vocal performance is flawless and immediately captures the melodic balance of jaw-dropping heavy instruments. The sound is even more visceral than the studio production.
“Algorism” [Live from Saitama Super Arena]
This live performance was recorded in their home country and captures the band at their absolute peak. Their theatrical performances are driven by the thunderous and flawless execution of their backing band and the live recording also gives the listener the raw and unedited experience of the arena crowd’s roaring energy. This demonstrates why BABYMETAL is a live international phenomenon.
METAL FORTH (Deluxe) is the definitive version of the historic chapter in BABYMETAL’s discography. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a new fan or a casual listener who loved the original version, the deluxe edition is a necessity to your playlist and an amazing introduction into the future of kawaii metal. My favourite track is “from me to u” (feat Poppy) [Jordan Fish Remix] and it highlighted the spectacular energy that BABYMETAL has in an original version, remixed version or live performance of this track.
