There’s something about summer that lingers long after the sun sets – a feeling, a sound, a moment you wish you could hold onto just a little longer. Echoes of Summer captures exactly that. Blending nostalgia with a fresh, atmospheric edge, the project feels less like a collection of songs and more like a memory unfolding in real time. In this conversation, we dive into the stories behind the music, the emotions that shaped it, and how those fleeting summer moments were turned into something lasting.

TCC : Your name is very interesting. What is the story behind it ?

Summer has always felt like a really vivid and emotional season to us. Everyone imagines it a little differently, but it always carries stories in some way.

TCC : What inspires you when creating music? Is it an emotion, a place, a person or something else?

A mix of emotion, places, and people. It never really feels complete if even one of those is missing.

TCC : Who are your biggest role models in the music industry?

We’re really drawn to bands that have stayed consistent over time while still making a big impact. YB and DAY6 come to mind in Korea, and internationally, bands like One Ok Rock and ELLEGARDEN have definitely inspired us a lot.

TCC : Your fans are clearly important to you. What is something you love about them?

One thing we really love about our fans is how deeply they understand our music. They often pick up on the exact emotions or imagery we had in mind when writing. For example, one of our longtime fans once posted a photo of flowers on Instagram with our song “Maybe My Heart,” and it perfectly matched the feeling we were going for—the excitement and warmth at the beginning of a relationship. Moments like that mean a lot to us.

TCC : If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would you choose? Would it be one of your own songs?

Probably Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.

TCC : Your energy whilst you work is outstanding, what keeps you going and keeping that uplifting vibe in the studio?

We genuinely enjoy making music, and there’s always this feeling that something is evolving in the room. Knowing that these moments might eventually connect with our listeners keeps us motivated and in a good head space.

TCC : if you had one piece of advice to give to an upcoming band/artist, what would you tell them?

More than advice, we’d want to say this: “From the moment you find the courage to begin, the world will start listening to your story.”

TCC : Lyrics can be one of the harder parts of producing, how do you guys work as a team to put together various projects?

Sehun mainly writes the English lyrics, and Haneul writes the Korean parts. I usually start with the composition, and then all four of us build on it together during the arrangement process.

TCC : Stage or Studio ?

Stage

TCC : headphones or speakers ?

Speakers

TCC : late nights or early mornings ?

Late Nights

TCC : global stage or intimate venues ?

Global stage

TCC : fame or legacy ?

Both

As Echoes of Summer fades out, what remains isn’t just the music, but the feeling it leaves behind – warm, fleeting, and impossible to ignore. It’s a reminder that even the most temporary moments can stay with us in the most unexpected ways. And if this project proves anything, it’s that some summers never really end – they just echo.
