TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) have returned to the Japanese music scene with their fifth Japanese single album, “Setsuna Hanabi” (セツナハナビ), released on August 19, 2026. Following the pre-release of “Nice to Meet Ya,” the project has built anticipation around a title track that embraces a distinctively Japanese sound while still feeling true to TXT. Across its four tracks, the release explores nostalgia, emotion and the beauty of moments that cannot last forever.

The title track, “Setsuna Hanabi,” immediately stands out with its energetic production, by blending traditional Japanese-inspired textures and a modern, funk-influenced rhythm, creating a beat that keeps the song alive. Rather than letting the instrumental overpower the song, the members vocals sit beautifully on top of it, bringing a softness and emotional weight to the track that contrasts with the intensity of the instrumental.

The meaning behind the title makes that contrast even more effective. “Setsuna” refers to a fleeting moment, while “hanabi” means fireworks, together representing something beautiful that appears for only an instant. That idea runs throughout the song, with its emotional lyrics and expressive vocals capturing the feeling of wanting to hold onto something even when you know it will eventually disappear. The members’ delivery is particularly striking, gradually drawing more emotion from the track until the final moments leave an impact that lingers even after the song ends.

That emotion is brought to life even further through the music video, which is easily one of the most beautiful visuals TXT have released, with striking colour grading that makes every scene feel cinematic. More importantly, the storytelling feels purposeful rather than just existing to accompany the song. There is a lot to take in, and the ending is the kind of moment that leaves you sitting there for a second after the video finishes.

The rest of the single album adds further variety to the release. “Nice to Meet Ya” brings a brighter, more refreshing energy, offering a lighter contrast to the melancholy of the title track, while “Silence” leans into a softer and more reflective atmosphere. The 夏宵 ver. of “Setsuna Hanabi” provides another take on the song’s central emotion.

What makes “Setsuna Hanabi” so memorable is how successfully TXT turn a simple idea into something that can be felt across the entire release. The music, lyrics and visuals all work together to capture the feeling of watching something beautiful disappear almost as quickly as it arrived.

Much like watching fireworks, “Setsuna Hanabi” gives you a beautiful moment you wish you could watch for a little longer.
